Our Story

Center Distributors has been family operated for over 50 years. The company was founded in 1966 by Madison "Buzz" Nutter, a retired NFL center who won two World Championships with the Baltimore Colts. One being in 1958, which is often referred to as "The greatest game ever played". Buzz was a two-time Pro Bowl selection and was inducted into the Virginia Tech Sports Hall of Fame in 1985.

After Football

After retiring from the NFL, Buzz started a beer distribution company that supplied National Bohemian and Colt 45 in Southern Maryland. He named it Center Distributors, after his football position. He ran the company for over 40 years before passing it on to his sons.

Second Generation

Today, Center Distributors is owned and operated by David Nutter (President) and Brian Nutter (Vice President)

Third Generation

Michael Nutter (Operations Manager) and Dustin Nutter (Sales Manager)
